Over time, after installing and uninstalling programs, your hard drive can become fragmented. Doing a disk defragment on a regular basis is a "must do". Windows users go to MY COMPUTER, right click on your hard drive (usually drive C:), go to PROPERTIES, click on the TAB that says TOOLS, then click DEFRAGMENT NOW. When the defragment program opens click on DEFRAGMENT. I recommend defragmenting once per week. There are several malicious programs that will hijack your web browser. In many cases, your anti-spyware program will not remove all of the components of this hijacker and it will come back. You can download a program to remove this called hijackthis <a onmouseover="window.status='HIJACKTHIS'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip" name="HERE!">HERE!</a> The best way to solve this problem is to never have your browser hijacked! If you are using <a onmouseover="window.status='SPYBOT'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.amarillocomputerguy.com/spyware" name="SPYBOT">SPYBOT</a>, go to TOOLS on left hand panel, then go to IE TWEAKS and click the box that says "Lock host file read-only as protection against hijackers".
